Lavender Rosemary Air-freshener

I'm always on the hunt for new scents. The aroma of your home or room can be crucial. Not only for the enjoyment of the smell itself, but also the benefits. Lavender for example can help ease the mind and relax your body. Today, I am going to be making my very own DIY essential oil air-freshener. This is perfect for any of you new college students to use in your dorm since you can't burn candles in your rooms. I decided to use lavender and rosemary oils. I think most can all agree that those 2 marry so well! However, feel free to use any scent you like. Let's get started! What you will need:
  1. Essential oil(s) of choice
  2. Baking soda
  3. Dried fruit or flowers ( I got mine from an herbal tea bag)
  4. Mini mason jar
Begin by first adding 4 tablespoons of baking soda. Or until the mason jar is filled half way. Now add about 2-3 tablespoons of the essential oils. Time for the dried flowers and fruit. We added this in the mix, but also saved a little bit to add to the top for decoration. Mix all together. The consistency of the mixture should be pasty. If it's too runny add more baking soda. If it's too think add a bit more oil. Last step, remove the center part of the mason jar lid. You will then cut out around the shape of the lid. Once you have the circular cut out, place it on the inside of the lid. It should look like this! This will allow the scent to come through nicely. Don't forget to add a few more sprinkles of the dried fruit and flowers on top! Place anywhere in your room or house!
