Homemade Hot Cocoa

Who doesn't love a cup of warm hot chocolate on a cold winter's day? Our most favorite winter beverage is easier than ever to make from scratch right in your kitchen. And trust us, this will taste far better than any store bought mix. Plus, it is SO easy! So easy, you probably already have all the ingredients in your home! Let's get started! Supplies:
  1. 3-3.5 cups of sugar
  2. 1.5 tablespoons of salt
  3. 2 1/4 cups of cocoa powder
  4. Milk per serving
  5. Your favorite mug
  6. Friends to share it with :)
We used a big mason jar to store our mix in. Start by adding in a cup of sugar. Then a cup of cocoa. Then, your next cup of sugar and so on. We made a pattern with the cups of sugar and cocoa just for looks, however you can just dump it all in together if you'd like. Next comes the salt. And now for the marshmallows to top it off! If you want a peppermint spin to it, simply drop one into your mixture. Mix the ingredients together. Scoop 1.5 spoon fulls into a cup of milk. Warm the milk on the stovetop or in the microwave. Enjoy!
