It's time to add a pop of color to your bath routine! With these DIY Bath Bombs, your bath aesthetic will look like it came straight from your Pinterest Board.
Supplies:
- Baking Soda
- Cornstarch
- Citric Acid
- Epsom Salt
- Bath Bomb Mold
- Preferred Essential Oils
- Spray Bottle of Water
- Preferred Color Mica
First, in a large bowl, mix 3 cups of baking soda, 1 1/2 cups of citric acid, 1 cup of epsom salt, and 1 cup of cornstarch. Make sure all the ingredients are mixed together well once they are in the bowl.
Now, it's time to make this smell good! Drip your preferred essential oils throughout the bowl. Lavender is my favorite, so that's what I used! How much you use is up to you, and how strong you want the scent to be.
Next, it's time to mold the mixture to the right consistency. Spritz your spray bottle thoroughly throughout the bowl. The mixture should dampen to the point of when you squeeze a hand full of it, it sticks together. If it does not stick, it will not hold in the mold, so keep spraying water until it sticks.
Once the consistency is right, fill the bath bomb molds with the mixture. Pack the mixture as tight in the mold as it can be. Allow the mold to sit for at least 24 hours.
Once the molds have sat for at least 24 hours, take the bath bombs out of the mold and get your colors ready! This part can get messy, so you may want to lay some paper towels or newspaper out.
Once you are happy with how the colors look, you're done! SO easy! Now it's time for you to relax! Light some candles and put on your favorite music (I chose Harry Styles) π and sit back!
For a color explosion, mix two of the bath bombs!
