We teamed up with The Barking Lot, a volunteer-run non-profit that rescues dogs from euthanasia and helps find their forever homes. Since 2016, they've also been rescuing dogs from the illegal meat trade in Thailand with their partner, the Soi Dog Foundation. To say we were excited to get outdoors and spend some time walking these dogs was an understatement. The weather in San Diego finally started to warm up, so it was the perfect way to spend a Sunday morning.
It was such an incredible experience to grow special bonds in just an hour with these pups, and one of our team members even put in an application for her the puppy she walked (we're crossing our fingers for her)! We learned some of the heartbreaking stories behind our dogs, and a few of us were able to spend our time with dogs that were saved from the illegal dog meat trade. Despite their past, all of the dogs were so excited, happy, well behaved, and definitely made us happy for the hour we got to spend with them.
I think we made them just as happy as well!
